Have you heard of Steve Redgrave?
You know, the greatest Olympian rower from the UK?
One of two men in history to bring home 5 consecutive Olympic Gold Medals?
In the middle of his career, life threw him two major curve-balls that very well could have thrown him off track:
Colitis and diabetes.
Redgrave didn't let that stop
him though.
He persevered and won Gold in 1984, 88, 92, 96, and 2000.
Steve Redgrave once said "I'm now retired and if anyone sees me near a row boat
they can shoot me!"
He said this famous quote back
in 1996, but then proceeded to win again in the 2000 Olympic Games.
Why am I telling you this?
Redgrave had plenty of talent.
More importantly though, he had even more passion.
He was obsessed with rowing.
He LOVED
it.
Even after jokingly telling people to shoot him, he couldn't resist getting back on the water.
The moral of the story?
You MUST love what you do.
Your talent may not be
fully developed, but your passion is what's going to propel you over the finish line.
Passion is the fuel that will light your fire and keep it burning through your training and
preparation.
I promise that this training is far from one of Redgrave's grueling workouts.
It's quite simple and easy to follow along.
Once you've got your passion, you're already 80% of the way there.
Let's finish up that final
20%!
