Right now, as I am typing this to you, my jaw is on the floor.
I have been obsessively watching the Olympics and I'm completely floored by what these athletes are able to do.
It’s absolutely incredible.
Between the performances on the gymnastics floor, the track, table tennis, and in the pool, I am so inspired.
I feel just like I did as a kid watching the Olympics in 1976. My eyes were glued to the TV, and I imitated whatever the gymnasts were doing. Romania's Nadia Comăneci dominated in women’s gymnastics, and I remember thinking, I want to do that when I grow up.
Fast forward to today.
I fall over while balancing on one foot to put my sock on the other foot, and the only time I speed walk is when I desperately need find a bathroom.
Let's be honest, the Olympics were never really going to happen for
me.
